HOW TO USE VISUALIZER IN TEACHING :
Visualizer are becoming increasingly commom in classrooms and are now seen as a vital teaching and learning tool. a visualizer acts like a webcam which is connected to the whiteboard or projector allowing you to display things to the whole class using the large screen display in the classroom .it can be used to display the lesson live to the projector screen or simply use a high tech replacement to an overhead projector to show text , images , and objects on classroom display . visualizer are put to use at its best when displaying 3D model and specimens .

Introduction:
An interactive
whiteboard is an instructional tool that allows computer images to be displayed
on to a board using a digital projector. The instructor can then manipulate the
elements on the board by using his/her finger as a mouse, directly on the screen.
Items can be dragged, clicked and copied and the teacher can handwrite notes,
which can be transformed into text and saved. They are a powerful tool in the
classroom adding interactivity and collaboration, allowing the integration of
media content into the teacher and supporting collaborative learning.
Purpose:
An electronic whiteboard
is a hardware device that is similar to a whiteboard that is found in schools
and businesses. it transmits any information written it to a computer or
multiple computers. They also allow live interaction with digital objects on
the screen.

DIGESTIVE SYSTEM
All living organism require food for energy and
organic matters for growth . food is organic compound and usually of plant or
animal origin . The major components of our food are carbohydrates , proteins
and fats . The process of conversion of complex food substances to simple
absorbable term is called digestion and is carried out by our digestive system
by mechanical and biochemical methods . The organs of the gastrointestinal
tract includes the mouth , pharynx , esophagus ,
stomach , small intestine , large intestine .

Mouth :
The
mouth is formed by cheeks , palates , lips and tongue .
Teeth
:
Teeth
cut , tear and pulnerize food to reduce solids to smaller particles for
swallowing . majority of mammals have two sets of teeth . an adult human has 32
permanent teeth which is of 4 types namely incisors , canine , premolars , and
molars .
Tongue :
Movement
of tongue are important in guiding food within the mouth during chewing and
swallowing . further more the taste buds are located on the tongue .

) PHARYNX :
When
food is first swallowed , it passes from mouth into the pharynx , a funnel
shaped tube that extends from the internal nares to the esophagus posteriorly .
It acts as a common passage way for both the digestive system and the
respiratory system .

) ESOPHAGUS :
The
esophagus connects the pharynx to the stomach . It is a muscular tube
approximately 25 cm long . In the esophagus , the submucosa contains mucus
secreting submucosal esophageal gland . both submucosal and mucosal gland
secrete mucus for lubrication of esophageal epithelial linning . The esophagus
plays an important role in the chemical digestion of food .

) DIAPHRAGM :
The
diaphragm is an important part of the body digestive system . The muscular diaphragm separates the
thoracic cavity from the abdominal cavity where most of the digestive organs
are located . This muscle helps in flexure for the easy passage of digesting
material .

) STOMACH :
The
stomach is a major organ of the digestive system . It is a j shaped organ
joined to the esophagus at its upper end and to the duodenum at its lower end .
gastric acid produced in the stomach plays an important role in digestion . It
mainly composed of hydrochloric acid and sodium chloride . The stomach of a new
born baby will only be able to expand to retain about 30ml .

) SPLEEN :
The
spleen breaks down both red and white blood cells. A product of digestion is
the pigment bilirubin which is sent to the liver and secreted in the bile .

) LIVER :
The
liver is the second largest organ and is an accessory digestive gland which
plays a role in the body metabolism . the liver can detoxify various
metabolites , synthesis protein , and produce biochemical needed for digestion
. The liver also can synthesis glucose .

) GALL BLADDER :
The
gall bladder is a hollow part of the biliary tract that sits just beneath the
liver , with the gallbladder body resting in a small depression . It is divided
into fundu , body and neck .
I
) PANCREAS :
The
pancreas is a major part of digestive organ which has both endocrine and
exocrine gland . The endocrine gland secretes insulin when blood glucose is
high . The endocrine part releases glucagon when blood sugar is low . The
pancreas is also the main source of enzymes for digestion of fats and proteins
.
J
) SMALL INTESTINE :
Food
starts to arrive in the small intestine one hour after it is eaten , and after
two hours the stomach has emptied . In the small intestine , the pH becomes
crucial , it needs to be finely balanced in order to activate digestive enzymes
. when the digested food particles are reduced enough in size and composition ,
they can be absorbed by intestinal wall and carried to the bloodstream .
The
last part of the small intestine is the ileum . This also contains villi and
vitamin b12 , bile acids , and any residue nutrients are absorbed here .
K
) LARGE INTESTINE :
It
takes about 12 to 50 hours until it is removed by defecation . The colon mainly
serves as a site for the fragmentation of digestible matter by the gut flora .
The remaining semi solid waste is termed
feces and is removed by the coordinated contractions of the intestinal walls ,
termed peristalsis , which propels the excreta forward to reach the rectum and
exit via defecation from the anus .
The

HOW TO USE COMPUTER
How
to use computer
Set up your computer. If you are setting up a new desktop computer, there are a few steps you will need to go through before you can start using it. After finding a place near your desk to put the tower, you will need to connect your monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as well as plug the tower into a power source.

more peripherals and accessories later.

a new laptop, you will have
significantly less to set up. Plug your laptop into a power source to ensure

Create a user account. If you are using the computer for the first time, you will likely be asked to create a user account when you turn it on. This account will hold all of your documents, pictures, downloaded files, and any other files that you create.

a public setting, you should create a strong password to protect your personal information.
This is highly recommended, even if your computer is a home computer.
Get familiar with the desktop. The
desktop is the main work area of your computer, and will likely be the most
visited area of your computer. Your desktop appears every time you log into

files. The desktop will look and function differently depending on which
operating system you use.
Learn mouse and keyboard basics. The mouse and keyboard are your primary means of interacting with your computer. Take some time to get familiar with how they work and how you can interact with your operating system and programs.

Even if you built your computer yourself, there will be some preinstalled applications and utilities that you can use without having to install anything additional. If you are using Windows, click the Start menu and browse through your available programs. If you are using a Mac, check your Dock and Applications folder.
Install your first program. Installing software is a very common task on a computer, no matter what kind of computer you are using. The process is usually very straightforward, as most installers give clear instructions for each step.
Select files and text. You can use your mouse or keyboard shortcuts to select files on your computer and text on documents and website. Click and drag the mouse across the text you want to select, or press Ctrl+A to select everything in your current location. Once you've selected files or text, there are several different actions you can take.
Copy and paste. Copying and pasting is one of the most common actions taken when selecting text or files. "Copying" a file or text leaves the original intact, while creating a copy on your computer's clipboard. You can then "Paste" the file or text elsewhere.

pressing Ctrl+C and paste by pressing Ctrl+V. You can also copy and paste by
right-clicking on the selection with your mouse and selecting the appropriate
option from the menu.

Open a web browser. The web browser is the software that allows you to view webpages, watch online videos, download files, and do essentially everything else internet-related. All computers come with a browser installed by default (Internet Explorer on Windows, Safari on Mac, and Firefox on Linux), but there are several popular alternative options.
Install an antivirus. Before exploring the internet, it would be wise to install an antivirus program. These programs protect your computer from viruses and other malicious software, and are practically required when connecting to the internet. Most computers come with trial antivirus software installed, but there are plenty of powerful free alternatives.
Browse safely when online. There is a lot of bad stuff on the internet, so be sure to stay safe while browsing. This means avoiding giving out personal information, only downloading from trusted sources, and steering clear of viruses, scams, and other illegal and dangerous activity.
Send an email. Emailing is one of the most common forms of communication these days, and knowing how to send an email is now an essential computer skill. You can set up a free email account with a variety of different services, and can be composing an email in just a few minutes.
Add speakers. While virtually all laptop computers have speakers built-in, desktop computers generally need external speakers or headphones in order for you to hear sound. Most computers have speaker connectors built-in that can be accessed on the back of the tower. Computer speakers are generally color-coded, so simply match the colored speaker plugs to the correct port.
Learn basic troubleshooting tips. Like anything electronic, your computer will occasionally encounter problems. Knowing some basic troubleshooting tips can help save you a lot of time and potentially money. You don't have to be an expert, but knowing what to try first can be very beneficial.

should try whenever you are encountering a problem is resetting your computer.
Believe it or not, this will resolve a large number of issues you are having
with a program or function.

connectivity problems when browsing the internet, resetting your
connection may fix your
problem.
How to use keyboard in
computer :
Step 1: Have a good look at your keyboard. The most
important keys are labelled on the diagram below:
Step 2: The main keys are the letter keys. When you
type just using these, you get lower-case print. However, if you hold down a
‘shift key’ (there are two to choose from) at the same time as you type, you’ll
get UPPER-CASE letters.
Try typing your name,
including capitals (UPPER-CASE) and spaces. The ‘space bar’ (which you press
briefly to make a space) is the wide key at the bottom of the keyboard.
Step 3: If you make a mistake in your typing,
there’s always a remedy.
To delete a letter,
place your cursor (mouse pointer) just after the letter and click. Then press Backspace briefly.
(Always press briefly – otherwise, you’ll get repeated deletions, spaces,
letters or whatever.) Or place your cursor just before the letter, click and
press Delete.
Step 4: Now try typing a sentence:
This is a good sentence to practise because it
contains most of the letters of the alphabet.
Step
5: You
can move the cursor along this sentence without deleting anything by using the
arrow keys:
Try moving the cursor backwards and forwards
through your sentence.
Step
6: Now
try using the number pad, if you have one.
To use this to type
numbers, you have to press the Num Lock key. There may be an
indicator light at the top of the keyboard or on the ‘Num Lock’ key itself to
show that it’s on.
Step 7: You can also type using the numbers on
the main keyboard. You’ll find them on the row of keys above the top line of
letters.
Above these numbers
are various symbols, which include ‘£’, ‘&’, ‘!’. To use these, hold down
the Shift key while you type.
Step 8: If you want everything to appear in upper
case, press the Caps Lock key and then type.
Again, an indicator
light may come on to show that your capitals are ‘locked’. Don’t forget to
press this key again when you’re finished to turn ‘Caps Lock’ off.
Step 9: The ‘Windows’ key comes in a number of
different designs, such as the example to the right.
It does exactly the
same thing as the Windows button on the taskbar on your computer screen. You
can choose to open the ‘Start’ menu by pressing this key or by clicking the
button on the taskbar with your mouse.
Step
10: You’ll be told to use the ‘Control’ (Ctrl) and
‘Alternate’ (Alt) keys for some operations. When you do so, keep holding down
one or the other key or both keys while you press any other keys . For example,
if you press Ctrl, Alt and Delete all at
the same time, a menu will open. To make it disappear, press the ‘Escape’ (Esc) key in the
top left-hand
How to use mouse in computer :
Step 1: Pick
up your mouse and have a look at it.
At the front (which
points away from you), there are two buttons – left and right. You press or,
more correctly, ‘click’ these to make things happen.
Most mice also have a
wheel in between the buttons that you roll to move up and down the screen –
technically called ‘scrolling.
Step 3: Have
a click. Use your index finger to click the left button and your middle finger
to click the right button.
Step 4: Try
a double-click. This is done quite often on the left button. You have to click
twice, as quickly as possible. The first click tells the computer that you are
in a particular ‘window’, and the second click tells it that you’re selecting a
button or link or whatever to do something in that window. If you click too
slowly, the computer just thinks you’re telling it where you are again and
again, so do click quickly.
Step 5: Now
try a right-click. Just click the right button, paying no attention where the
cursor is on the screen. A menu will appear, giving you options. Whenever you right-click,
it opens a menu. If you move your cursor off the menu and left-click, the menu
will close.
